These eyeglasses were purposely made to stay on the face while riding a horse.
The lens is small to fit under the eyebrow. Bridge width is adult size.
The cable temple length is adult size.
These frames were purchased from the stock of an optical shop
that went out of business in 1946.
They were in a small bundle of 9 pair with a price tag of 25 cents each.
Most likely these were purchased as military salvage around 1920.
They are in excellent like new condition with only minor discoloration.
They were most likely used from the French and Indian War period through WWI.
