Beginning in the early 1760's, eyeglasses were made with temples extensions of many types. The turn-pin extension and the double folding extensions are the most common. Most frames from this period are made from steel. A few examples in coin silver and gold do come to the market from time to time. Please contact us for a list of our current inventory of 18th century turn-pin and double folding spectacles.
For period cases, visit our eyeglass case catalogue.
