Vintage Windsor Eyeglasses Frames

Windsor eyeglasses were popular for nearly 50 years and in some countries for 70 years. Dozens of different manufacturers made this style. The first Windsors were made from steel followed by steel frames wrapped with white and yellow gold. Roman Steel which simulated silver was made in the early 1900's. All the above frames could be covered with an early type of plastic called "Zylo." Zylo was made in tortoise shell, black, brown, and blonde.
