STYLE

The Windsor style was introduced in 1880 and remained popular thru the early 1900’s. Of all vintage eyewear, these really stick out with their round lenses, saddle bridge, and temples that wrap around the ear. Windsor frames were generally gold and silver colored, Often covered with black or tortoise celluloid. Many people associate the windsor style with John Lennon and Mahatma Gandhi. Ernest Hemingway and Teddy Roosevelt also wore the windsor eyewear. The Windsor style remained popular until the early 1900’s. Today they are highly sought-after and very desirable and will make a great addition to your collection.
